#101 "Pine Tree Lodge" - Heidi Pridemore (National Teacher)

Two miniature quilts each having it's own unique style. Select one to make during class and make the other mini at home. Dancing Irish Chain with Hexagon Flowers, or Kitschy Dresden Plate. Rooted in traditional patterns these look great in reproduction fabrics, or any of the new fabric lines. You just may leave with a fully assembled center and we'll have so much fun doing it. Hand work gives us the freedom to take our work where ever we go. Nancy has a fun way of sharing her blanket-stitch and other hand embroidery stitches to give your appliqu block an individual look. Chic, stylish hats get lots of attention! So many fabric choices for this project - make one in cotton, wool or flannel, and make another in pretty batiks! You'll enjoy making this hat as much as you'll enjoy wearing it and want to make another for someone special. Accent it with a fabric flower or button. This pattern is challenging and fun and this class will give you a great sense of confidence. Did you know you can make yo-yo's as small as a button and as large as a dinner plate? They are so exciting to add to pillows, quilts, wallhangings and clothing. Patti will inspire you with the latest in yo-yo gadgets, let you make a yo-yo and show you some yo-yo projects.

Merry and Bev will help you with establishing accuracy in measuring and sewing your quilt project with special emphasis on the "1/4 inch seam". Learn how the thread, needles and accessories can help you achieve an accurate "1/4 inch seam". This lecture is for all skill levels.
